I actually spent a few weeks working on this review. It'll be worth the read, I assure you, but let's go ahead and say, right out of the door, this is the lawn service for you. Nope, stop, don't click away! I'll tell you why.
Bear with me, this is relevant to how impactful compassion can be in business. (Also a heads up, I will be sharing pictures with this review as soon as I am able to upload them.)
I am a mother of 3. Not too long ago, at the end of the covid lockdowns, I was unceremoniously evicted from my 11 year long home. We were given just a few days to grab what we could and leave. We grabbed what was most important, and fled. We lost almost everything.
For 2 years my kids and I went from sleeping in the van to bouncing from hotel to hotel. I worked as hard as I could, raised my credit, saved, made contacts, and bought a newly built house. Yay, right?
Well then came my diagnosis, and a tumultuous illness. I have no family here, no friends, nothing. For a long time I tried calling various people for help with various services at the house to keep up with through my illness but for some reason, so many of them were outright rude to me. Some even going so far as to say, “There is no house there, please stop calling.” And hung up on me. I was shocked. Another (a trash collection company) told me they don't service dirt roads despite the fact that that same company picks up all my neighbor’s trash…you know the ones that live on my dirt road?
It honestly has felt like there was absolutely no professionalism or kindness left in this world and being so sick, I eventually lost control of the lawn and it went wild. Full on native, guys. There was probably a lost tribe in there, I dunno. Bobby would know.
Eventually I had some threats come in from code violation (not about my yard just about whatever else they could nail me for of course) and said a neighbor reported me. Because humans. That's fine, whatever. Moving on.
I called various lawn services again and got similar snark and refusals. I called Young's and didn't get an answer. Most of the people who called me back were too far away or just plain rude. But before long I got a call from Young’s and it was Bobby saying he missed a call from this number. I informed him of the devastation in my yard and he said he was nearby and would come check it out right now. And he really did. He walked the yard, took in the horrors with such aplomb! He was so professional despite how ashamed I was. And he didn't once treat me poorly for it. Because adults don't judge a book by its cover. There's always a story.
Anyway, I could tell he was hesitant, I knew it was awful and would be murder on anyone who tried to tame it. But he agreed. He even quoted me a higher number and then dropped it by 50. Can't have that, I just handed him a nightmare. Nope, keep that 50 on there and we got a deal.
And he did it. Took several hours but he did the thing. I have my yard back and can casually go outside and actually garden when my illness gives me breaks. He took a HUGE source of stress and massive anxiety off of my shoulders when it was something he absolutely could and should have refused. And THAT is why I was determined he got that full amount. And when you work with him, you'll feel the same. He comes every week so long as it rains, he’s fast, efficient, well priced, and frankly, a freaking life saver. So stop right here, because there's no need to look further. Bobby’s your guy.
